What Next

Lysk has been accepted into Duke's Pratt School Masters of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering program beginning in the fall. He looks forward to more in-depth study in computational modeling as a tool for finite element analysis; bio-mechanics; and tissue engineering. Having worked intensively on two significant research projects, one designing a pediatric head and neck model for the U. S Military's Warrior Injury Assessment Manikin Project; and the other designing and constructing the prototype of a neural cooling device to be used during brain surgery; it appears that Lysk is headed toward a career involving the design and implementation of medical devices and treatments. Unless an exciting research project keeps him in a Duke lab, this summer Lysk is hoping to intern in the bio-tech industry near New York City.

Congratulations, Lysk! We are incredibly proud of you and know there is so much more to come for you! Love, Mom, Eliza, and forever, Dad
